Learning objectives
After the course, participants must be able to maintain the safety of both ship and crew in various situations
Prerequisites
Basic safety training for smaller ships
e-learning
All participants will be sent a link with details for the e-learning part of the course.
The e-learning must be completed before arriving at the course centre for the first day of the course.
Assessment criteria
To pass the course you must have 80% correct answers on the written exam.
In addition, all requirements for the practical exercises must be met.
The participant will be observed by an instructor during practical exercises. The instructor shall make sure that the participants have the minimum required knowledge, understanding and competence through observation and judgement of the practical exercises.

1 day at the course centre + e-learning
Certificate validity
The certificate is valid for 5 years
Clothing
All participants must bring their own woolen underwear or other non-synthetic underwear for use during practical exercises.
