Violence and Threats

The objective of the course is to ensure that frontline personnel develop greater awareness and basic skills in managing their own safety and that of colleagues when faced with threatening behaviour, threats, or violence.

Target Group

Employees, managers, and employee representatives in exposed roles, as well as case officers and advisors across various agencies and organizations.

Duration

Tailored to the individual company, organization, or participant group.

The course is designed for smaller groups, with a minimum of 10 participants, and a standard duration of one day from 09:00 to 15:30.

Upon request, customized courses can be arranged for defined participant groups and specific customer requirements.

Course Content

• Group tasks and case work based on participants’ real‑life experiences
• Review of cases and relevant scenarios
• Communication and prevention of incidents
• Communication and behaviour in threatening situations
• Escalation leading to violence
• PLIVO (Ongoing Life‑Threatening Violence)
• Coordination and communication
• Group assignments focused on the participants’ own organization – improvements, measures, safety, and facilities
• Review of exercises, role‑play, and case scenarios

The course combines theory and practical exercises, case studies, and group work.

Price

NOK 3,900 per participant, based on a minimum of 10 participants.

Course Administration

The course can be delivered at Maersk Training locations, at the customer’s premises, or at other suitable locations.
Maersk Training provides all course materials. Lunch is included in the price.
