Basic safety and emergency preparedness refresher course for emergency response personnel with E-learning

Target Audience:

Offshore personnel who are active members of one of the following emergency response teams:

• HLO (Helicopter Landing Officer)
• Search & Rescue Team (formerly Fire Team)

Everyone working offshore must have completed a basic safety course in accordance with Norwegian Oil and Gas Guideline 002.

The course is repeated every 4 years.

Our experienced instructors have extensive industry experience and ensure safety during practical exercises.

Course Content:

Sea Rescue with First Aid

Practical exercises:

• Suits
• Water familiarization
• Staying in the sea
• Raft
• Signaling
• Rescue sling

Helicopter Evacuation (HUET)

Theory Section

Practical exercises:

• Water familiarization
• Capsizing practice
• Organized evacuation
• EBS (Emergency Breathing System)

Upon Course Completion:

Participants will have maintained and further developed their knowledge, skills, and attitudes within their emergency response role in:

• Use of fire extinguishers
• Life-saving first aid
• Use of rescue slings
• Proper use of survival suits with breathing equipment
• Helicopter evacuation (HUET)

Prerequisites:

• Basic safety course
• Active membership in one of the following emergency response teams: Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO) or Search & Rescue Team.

Assessment Criteria:

Participants will be assessed during all practical training. If a participant does not pass the practical training, they will be given an explanation.

After completing the training, participants must take a theoretical test. If a participant does not meet the competency goals, they will be disqualified.
 

Course Duration:

1 day + e-learning
 

Course Validity:

The course certificate is valid for 4 years.
 

Course Locations:

Courses are offered at our locations in Stavanger, Bergen, Haugesund, Kristiansund, and Grimstad.

Preferred dates and locations can be selected from the course list.
 

Payment Options:

Payment for the course is due upon registration or upon arrival. We also offer payment via Vipps or invoice.
 

Attendance:

The course starts at 10:00 AM unless otherwise stated in the course confirmation.

Remember to bring valid identification.
 

Clothing:

All course participants must bring woolen underwear or base layers that are not synthetic.
 

Included in the Price:

Lunch is included in the course price and will be served every day.
