Learning objectives
On completion of the course the participants will be able to demonstrate competence given in
the STCW Code's table A-V/2

Assessment criteria
To pass the course, the written test must be passed with 80% correct answers. The written test is
designed so that 80% covers requirements from SDIR regarding 100% attainment of
competence.
Requirements for practical exercises must be completed.
The individual course participant is observed by the instructor in the implementation of practical
exercises. The instructor shall ensure that pupils have the necessary knowledge, understanding
and skill through judging the pupil's performance in the various exercises according to the
minimum standard of competence.
