Participant Requirements
Relevant electrical background, including a trade certificate such as automation technician, electrician Class L, electrical installer, power line technician, or switchboard builder, or a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in an electrical discipline.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of the course, the participant shall be able to demonstrate acquired knowledge, apply work methods, and recognize:
- Roles, responsibilities, and authority within the electrical installation
- How to select and use appropriate personal protective equipment
- Measurement principles for measuring instruments, risks of incorrect measurements, and how to select and use equipment based on the nature of the work
- Electrical hazards and how to act in accordance with the internal control system
- Work methods applicable to work on and operation of low- and high-voltage electrical installations
- Emergency situations and the need for controlled descent, including principles of rescue and emergency equipment
- The extent of electrical injuries, take responsibility, initiate actions, alert emergency services, and explain assessment of consciousness and breathing, as well as CPR procedures and the recovery position

Course Validity
The course certificate is valid for 12 months and must be renewed thereafter.
Practical Information
The course is delivered as theoretical training and should be combined with practical training in CPR and controlled descent from mast structures (high-voltage installations) to obtain full competence.
Theoretical Training (FIDL)
The theoretical training is delivered as a game-based learning module via an app on mobile phone or tablet, and can also be completed on PC or Mac.
In addition to the game, participants have access to an interactive compendium for deeper theoretical study.
Access to the course is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
Practical Training
The practical training is conducted in person at one of our training centres.
