Target Group

  • Person responsible for operation
  • Person in charge of the work
  • Designers and planners of service and maintenance activities
  • Performing personnel: electricians (Group L), switchboard installers, electrical installers, automation technicians
  • Electrical inspection personnel
  • Consulting electrical engineers
  • Personnel from the Local Electrical Inspectorate (DLE)
  • Service personnel from manufacturers, importers, and suppliers of electrical equipment
  • Authorised/specially qualified personnel

Participant Prerequisites

Relevant electrical background, including a trade certificate such as automation technician, electrician (Group L), electrical installer, power line technician, or switchboard installer, or a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in an electrical engineering discipline.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion, the participant shall be able to demonstrate acquired knowledge, apply working methods, and recognise:

  • roles, responsibilities, and authority within an electrical installation
  • how to select and use appropriate personal protective equipment
  • measurement principles for measuring instruments, the risk of incorrect measurements, and how to select and use equipment based on the nature of the work
  • hazards and act in accordance with the internal control system
  • working methods applicable to work on and operation of low‑voltage electrical installations
  • the extent of electrical injuries, take responsibility, initiate measures, raise alarms, and explain assessment of consciousness and breathing, as well as CPR procedures and the recovery position

Course Duration

2.5 hours + e‑learning

Practical Information

The course is delivered as theoretical training and should be combined with practical CPR training.

Theoretical training (FIDL):
The theoretical part of the course is delivered as a game‑based learning experience via an app on mobile phone or tablet, and can also be completed on PC and Mac. In addition to the game, participants have access to an interactive compendium for in‑depth study of the theory. Course access is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.

Practical training:
The practical training is conducted in person at one of our training centres.
